Last summer I took a group of writers to an old manor house in Stroud, in the heart of the Cotswolds. It is a haven of peace and tranquility, whilst providing creative energy and inspiration.
We had a weekend of writing and editing, of discussing and befriending, of creativity and hilarity.

We were looked after by the wonderful Lucia, who fed us delicious homemade food throughout the weekend - homemade marmalade ice cream was a particular highlight!

A weekend, packed full with Clare’s stimulating workshops, 1 to 1 critiques and quiet writing time. The house is simply stunning and the food, plentiful, homemade and delicious. For me, unadulterated decadence. [Dawn]

A wonderful weekend writing retreat, that promises prompts, on point critique and time to work on what you choose. All set up in a luxurious fifteenth century house, with delicious meals, all freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. I loved this weekend and would gladly recommend to anyone. [Ruth]

This retreat was so successful I am leading another this year. We'll be going back to Lucia's wonderful manor house from 26th-28th June 2026. I'll keep the numbers attending small, so that writers can get lots of attention and really concentrate on their work.
