Wild and Precious

Solo Show for the Elevate Festival at the Theatre Royal Bath

Written and performed by Clare Reddaway

Directed by Sarah Curwen

March 2023

A cabaret of wild and precious short stories about love, life and collective nouns. There might be a mouthy woman or two in there. And a leopard. Oooo and a bit of sea, although there weren't any shanties. This evening was a mischievous mix of dark and witty fiction.

Clare has read her heart-warming, insightful and engaging stories at venues and festivals around the south-west and on the airwaves, both for podcasts and BBC Radio. She ran Story Fridays, a regular and popular Bath live lit evening, and has created many unusual and innovative story events. ‘Unique, entertaining and often uplifting’ [Bath Echo] ‘An absolute joy’, ‘I was blown away’ [audience responses to her Clifton story-walk] and Clare’s favourite: ‘You have a little bit of magic in you.’

This was Clare's first solo show.

Running time: 1 hour
