A site-specific creative writing workshop ​

As part of the Bath Fringe Festival, Clare is holding one of her occasional in-person writing workshop.

​

This is a writing workshop with a difference, a walkshop if you like. In a departure from the comfort zone of chair and desk, you will be on your feet in the open air. You will have creative thinking time in an outside space and find inspiration in the places you can see, touch, hear and smell around you. What does it feel like to be writing outside? What will it do to your creativity? Come along and find out. All levels of writing experience welcome. 

 

The emphasis will be on stimulating new ideas and sharing, and on providing a safe, warm, welcoming environment. (It might not be physically warm though, so do wrap up!)

 

Practicalities: this workshop will be held in a couple of locations including a park in central Bath. Bring paper and pen, and be prepared to walk for short distances. There will be some benches to sit on, but you might like to sit on the ground – rugs will be provided. You are welcome to bring water or a hot drink and a snack with you. There are toilet facilities in the park which operate with 20p coins, but they are currently shut, so it’s quite a walk to the nearest loo. 

 

*Trigger warning*: one of the locations we will explore is a graveyard. Please be aware of this before you book.
