There will be no workshops in the foreseeable future due to the Covid-19 virus. However, Clare will be running some online workshops to provide a creative space in this stressful time. Further details to come, or please get in touch if you are interested.
Clare Reddaway runs monthly writing workshops at her home in central Bath. All of the workshops aim to be supportive and encouraging to writers of short stories at all levels. Clare provides exercises which are stimulating and inspiring (hopefully!) in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
All workshops run for three hours from 10.00 – 1.00pm on Saturday mornings at Clare’s house in central Bath. Visitors’ parking permits can be provided for £1.
The cost of each workshop is £10. Booking is essential – tickets for workshops from 2020 can now be booked via Eventbrite. Please contact Clare here or phone 01225 428469 if you have any questions.
Workshops in the past have covered themes such as myths and legends, nature, genre and flash fiction, politics, writing with your senses, ghosts and memories as well as techniques like structure, dialogue, editing and character. I am very open to suggestions if writers want to explore a particular area.
Workshops coming up:
Each workshop has a loose over-arching theme, allowing writers to explore their own interests through stimulating and creative exercises. The workshops are a varied mix of exercises and discussion, with mutual feedback in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
If you would like to be on the mailing list to get first dibs, please send me a message here.

Her background as a script editor for the BBC and Granada TV and her MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa gives her experience of working with a wide range of writers.
Clare was very pleased to run a workshop recently at the inaugural Clifton Village Lit Fest, as a guest of Foccal. It went really well, everyone seemed to enjoy it!
