Bath Libraries and prizes for ‘Noir’!

A Word In Your Ear is delighted to announce that for our November ‘Noir’ Story Friday we will be teaming up with B&NES Library Service and the Bath Chronicle to offer prizes!

B&NES Library Service run an annual short story competition and this year they are asking for stories on our theme ‘Noir’.  Two winners of the short story competition will win a £20 book token each, and be offered the opportunity to read their winning story at Story Friday on November 7th – as long as they have not performed with us before.  The four other stories selected for Story Friday Noir will also win book tokens, of £10 each.

Writers, you can enter the competition either by submitting your story on our submissions page here, or you can drop the story off at any library in the B&NES area.

Story Friday regulars – please do submit for Noir as normal!  We are, as ever, eager for your stories!  And this time, you might have the chance to win a Bath Chronicle book token, as well as the usual love and admiration that you receive from the audience and the team!

The stories will be read and judged by representatives from A Word In Your Ear, Kilter Theatre, B&NES Library Service and the Bath Chronicle – none of whom will be eligible to enter the competition.

We would like to thank B&NES Library Service who will be sponsoring our screening of a classic film noir, title to follow shortly.
