We had a wonderful icy Story Fridays on Friday. We had fabulous stories that spanned the world from Siberia to the American Civil War, from the fjords of Norway to the funeral parlours of Bath. If the icy weather kept you away on Friday, all our stories are ready to listen to here. Now it’s time to sharpen those quills for Story Friday Anniversary, 10th March. Deadline is 27th February. Get writing!
Story Friday Ice is a delectation of delights for you – we’ve got writers Christine Roberts, Jenny Woodhouse, Rosalind Minett, Martin Philips, Elaine Miles, Chloe Turner and B&NES competition winners Charlotte Wormold and Susan Shah. They’re bringing stories from Siberia and the American Civil War, from the shore of an icy whaling island to the warmth of the future. The stories are surprising, dramatic and in some cases, very funny. We’re thrilled to welcome Gill Simmons of Brave Bold Drama who will be playing her eclectic mix of jazz and folk and songs-with-a-story which she will bring to us via a keyboard and a ukulele! Come along to Burdall’s Yard, 7A Anglo Terrace, BA1 5NH on this Friday 13th January. Doors open and music starts at 7.15, the stories kick off at 8. Tickets are £5 on the door – see you there!
